Phnom Penh\u2019s skyline is set for a major transformation as Japanese and Cambodian investors announced plans for a $100 million mixed-use development in Boeung Keng Kang 1 (BKK1). The project, named G.A.T.O Tower, will rise 65 stories and feature luxury condominiums alongside a high-end hotel, positioning it as one of the tallest buildings in Cambodia\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n
The project is being spearheaded by MIRAKU Capital & Development Co., Ltd. Chairman of the Board Nagato Daiko said Cambodia\u2019s economic stability and growth potential were key drivers behind the investment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe project will stand 65 floors above Phnom Penh, bringing together luxury residential living and world-class hospitality,\u201d Daiko said at the official press conference.<\/p>\n
Local partners Nhim Reasey and Nao Sokuntheary, who also sit on MIRAKU\u2019s board, confirmed the development will be located on Street 334, near Norodom Boulevard in BKK1. Construction is scheduled to begin by the first quarter of 2026, with completion targeted for 2030.<\/p>\n
Design is led by Shin Takamatsu Architect & Associates, a leading Japanese firm recognized for modern urban concepts. Current design studies aim to ensure the tower reflects a forward-looking lifestyle in line with Cambodia\u2019s urban future.<\/p>\n
G.A.T.O Tower will be developed to international construction standards, with input from Japanese and Cambodian architects alongside global consulting firms.<\/p>\n
Planned facilities include landscaped gardens, a children\u2019s play area, fitness center with steam and sauna, a private lounge, coffee shop, and co-working spaces. The upper floors will feature premium condominiums, while penthouses from the 60th to 64th floors will target high-net-worth residents. At the top, a rooftop sky bar and swimming pool will offer panoramic views of Phnom Penh.<\/p>\n
MIRAKU CEO Nhim Reasey said the design emphasizes a luxurious lifestyle, noting that the reception area will be \u201cinspired by nature\u201d and open communal spaces will be a key element.<\/p>\n
Property management will be overseen by WH Living & Properties Co., Ltd, a Cambodian firm recognized for award-winning services. Japanese experts will provide additional oversight to align management with international benchmarks and ensure attractive rental returns for investors.<\/p>\n
Marketing Director Kawasaki Masako described the tower as both a business initiative and a symbol of Cambodia\u2013Japan friendship.<\/p>\n
